Since 2012, Nadia Flaim has led the marketing and communications strategies for CBC Sports, including Hockey Night in Canada, FIFA 2014, Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games, and all Olympic Games programming (Sochi 2014 & Rio 2016). During the 2014 to 2016 TV season, she was instrumental in the network’s factual and daytime entertainment programs as well.
During this time, she has created innovative and award winning campaigns delivering against all goals and objectives for each property and ensuring a mutually beneficial approach to internal and external partners.
Recognized as a trustworthy, detail orientated, enthusiastic team player dedicated to providing return on investment within a team model, she successfully manages competing priorities while building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and clients.
Prior to joining CBC, Flaim worked as a Communications Manager for ABC Life Literacy Canada where she grew the spotlight on adult literacy issues in Canada. She also served as the Communications Manager with the Toronto Blue Jays and Rogers Centre, helping Rogers establish an off-field presence for the team and handle the birth and growth of the Rogers Centre brand and event strategies.
Flaim started her career in the US where she was the Communications and Community Relations Manager for the ECHL Tallahassee Tiger Sharks before joining the Florida State University Women’s Basketball as their Director of Basketball Operations from 2001-2006. During that time, she helped the team reach the NCAA Tournament in back-to-back seasons for the first time in program history. Flaim returned to Canada following her recruitment by the Toronto Blue Jays / Rogers Communications Inc.
Flaim currently lives in downtown Toronto and is active in her Trentino-Italian community.
