Associate Producer (Social), Cbc Sports
After serving as a social ambassador for Canada’s Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium during the London 2012 Olympic Games, Gabriella Cook was determined to build a career in sports media. Returning home, Cook did exactly that. She enrolled in Seneca College’s Television Broadcast program and completed it concurrently with her B.A. in Communications and French.
Cook soon landed a role as Social Producer for TSN’s coverage of the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup and, later that summer, as a Production Assistant for the Host Broadcaster for the 2015 Pan Am Games in Toronto. From that experience, Cook carved out a space at CBC Sports as an Associate Producer (Social), culminating in her being named Host, Producer and Coordinator for the RBC Someday Space at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Cook produced the most viewed Olympic video of the Games on Canadian social media. Now working on CBC Sports’ Road to the Olympic Games, Cook has played an important part in expanding CBC Sports’ social media presence across multiple platforms.
Gabriella will be presenting the Business of Creative keynote with fellow guest (who is also her mother!), Nathalie Cook. We’re so excited Gabriella can join us at WiSE Talk!
